We are in Peking after 125 miles of horrendous crowded driving playing formula one with local drivers, and hours and hours at port to get cars released.
Very moving visit to local hospital today to see cleft patients and the surgeon, who has done 66 ops so far. 
Cars running well, but have found certain grease nipples on important bits which our old gun does not fit, so not a happy bunny first thing today when I found this out. Will have to have these sorted in Ulan Batar.
Carmen doing brilliantly - she could have got separated a million times, but pushed all the locals out of the way!
Tour guide Susanna could not be more helpful- recommend her to anyone. She did walk us 5 miles round Forbidden City last night to keep us trim for the journey after a superb meal.
